Following Victoria’s recent mpox outbreak, alt/shift/ partnered with the Victorian Department of Health to encourage priority groups to get tested and vaccinated – particularly in the lead-up to Pride Month and beyond.
To help spread the word, we brought on entertainer Aysha Buffet (Rian Difuntorum) as a campaign ambassador. Deeply connected to queer culture and Melbourne’s nightlife scene, Aysha has a strong social media following among key at-risk groups, including gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM), as well as people of colour.
With support from the alt/shift/ content team, Aysha created a hilarious and informative street interview video. Filmed in one of Melbourne’s most iconic LGBTQIA+ districts, the piece raised awareness about mpox symptoms and highlighted how and where to access vaccinations.
