Behaviour Change at

/ Human behaviour is shaped by myriad factors
From environment to upbringing to prejudices to habitual actions, we learn behaviour, we imitate behaviour, we perpetuate behaviour.
To disrupt this pattern, there must be a break in the chain; a challenge to the status quo. One of the keys to a successful behaviour change campaign is knowing where to break that chain — understanding where the intervention is required based on what we know about the audience and their environment.
There’s no off-the-shelf solution for changing behaviour. Barriers, motivations, context and environment will be different for every audience and every campaign. And, depending on the magnitude of the issue, a campaign may have a specific short-term focus, or a longer-term goal of altering deeply ingrained or widespread attitudes or behaviours. That’s why we draw on a variety of academic models and choose the one that best suits the nature of each campaign.

At alt/shift/, we understand that behaviour change can be complex. Like many complex challenges, though, the solutions are often surprisingly simple.
The hard work is in thoroughly researching barriers, motivations and biases so we can work in partnership with you to deliver clear, compelling and effective campaigns.
We use behavioural science and insights to take out the guesswork. And we blend creativity with scientific rigour to deliver campaigns that have measurable outcomes and drive genuine change.
